Quarter 1 Fundraising Focus

The board identified 4 possible charities.  Tom investigated all of them and interviewed three.  The board decided that the Public School Foundation’s goals closely aligned with ours and they had the most concrete idea for us.
The Public School Foundation has no funding source for the Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year awards.  Each year, they count on a leadership breakfast to fund these award, but weather, pandemics, etc can derail those plans.  They have been giving $500 for these 2 award, but we do not think that is enough.
PSF believes, and the research proves, that good teachers thrive under good leadership.  Encouraging and rewarding good leaders makes for good teachers, and consequently, successful students.
We will get named as the sponsor for the awards: $2000 à $1000 for each award.  We will not be involved in the selection, but we will be involved in the award ceremony.  We will fund the monetary awards, PSF will fund the ceremony, the plaques, the invitations and anything else needed.
More info coming soon about how and when to donate towards this cause.
